PRODUÇÃO CIENTÍFICA SOBRE COMPETÊNCIAS E HABILIDADES NA EDUCAÇÃO MATEMÁTICA / Scientific production on skills and abilities in Mathematics Education
Resumo
A pesquisa teve o intuito de mapear, por meio de procedimentos bibliométricos, o estado da arte sobre “Competências e Habilidades na Educação Matemática”, a partir de publicações indexadas ao Banco de Teses e Dissertações da CAPES. O interesse pela pesquisa surgiu ao verificar a necessidade de dimensionar o que tem sido produzido e como têm sido interpretados os termos “competências e habilidades”, e ainda de que forma tais termos estão sendo aplicados no campo da Educação Matemática. Para tanto, utilizou-se da pesquisa bibliográfica com ênfase na bibliometria a partir das seguintes categorias: região, ano, ênfase e sujeitos da pesquisa, e ainda os autores mais citados nesses estudos. Os resultados apontam para um déficit na produção científica sobre esse assunto a nível stricto sensu no Brasil, perpetuando investigações que vinculam as competências ao “saber fazer”, no que tange o ensino da matemática e suas especificidades, apresentando poucas pesquisas direcionadas aos alunos do Ensino Superior, visto que o curso de matemática é orientado a seguir as Diretrizes Curriculares Nacionais que determinam seis competências e habilidades inerentes ao Educador Matemático. Dessa forma, acredita-se que estudos futuros possam vislumbrar os caminhos já percorridos e aqui apontados a fim de trilhar novas jornadas no campo da Educação Matemática.

Abstract: The purpose of this research was to study "Skills and Abilities in Mathematics Education", through bibliometric procedures, using publications indexed to the Bank of Thesis Summaries of CAPES. The interest in this study arose from the need to measure what has been produced and how the terms "skills and abilities" have been interpreted, and still how they are being applied in Mathematics Education. For this purpose, we used bibliographical research with an emphasis on bibliometrics from the following categories: region, year, emphasis, and subjects of the research; as well as the most referenced authors in these studies. The results point to a deficiency in Brazil about scientific production on Mathematics education and issues, leading continuity to researches that link to the competences in "knowing how to do", introducing few researches to Higher Education students, since the undergraduate course in Mathematics is guided by the National Curricular Guidelines that determine six skills and abilities proper to the Mathematical instructor. Therefore, we believe that future studies can glimpse the paths already traced here and then, to pursue new journeys in this fertile field of Mathematics Education.
