The Amazon biome is rich in vertebrate diversity. However, there are difficulties in school contexts to bring students closer to local biodiversity and to address these issues more explicitly in curricula. This study aims to show an educational activity using skeleton of wild animals in an itinerant exhibition in Rio Branco (Acre, Brazil). The purpose of the exhibition was to disseminate information on the diversity of vertebrates in the Amazon. Here we present a mediator´s report who introduced the pieces to the students during the exhibition. Students found the exhibition very informative mainly toward anatomical and ecological animal features. In the same way, the experience enabled the mediator to develop different mediation strategies based on interaction and dialogue. UR - https://periodicos.uea.edu.br/index.php/arete/article/view/1278
